Colorado Springs

January 8 th , it was about 10 C, no snow, clear blue skies, people walking or running in shorts and T-Shirts, in the desert, close to 14,000ft mountains, rock climbing in the city, etc, etc, etc.  Locals tell me it snows once in while but then melts the next day, it gets to be -40, but not for long and not very often.  Forecast for the following week was from temperatures between 0 and 10 C and from partly cloudy to sunny.  Oh, and my job has a few positions here.  To boot, its about a hour from a main airport at Denver.

While at Colorado Springs, we visited the Garden of the Gods.  Situated in the western part of the City, it provides a great spot of hiking, biking, running, walking, and rock climbing.  And, it’s simply beautiful.
